The Ashtekar Prizes of ISLQG for the Best Presentations at Loops Conferences—Sponsored by the Journal Universe
To celebrate forty years of Loop Quantum Gravity, two Ashtekar prizes for junior scientists were created by the Steering Board of ISLQG in 2026, under the sponsorship of the journal Universe. The prizes will be awarded for the best presentations at Loops conferences by students and young postdocs in sessions for contributed talks. Each prize consists of a certificate signed by the ISLQG President acknowledging the recipient for an outstanding presentation, and a monetary award, initially set at 500 USD for Loops’26. The first winner(s) will be announced during the upcoming Loops’26 conference hosted at Zhejiang University of Technology from 24–29 May in Hangzhou, China.
